Mas
El Solanot
is located in Collsacabra, half way between La Vall d’en
Bas and Rupit, from where you can enjoy the beauty of
the counties of La Garrotxa and La Selva.
This is a very
old stone house with a long history (some texts trace it back
to around 1600), filled with small details, a private collection
of books bought over a lifetime and antique furniture.
It is located right on the mountain, without any other dwellings
in view .

A quiet place,
surrounded by nature, the only sounds you hear are cowbells and
birdsong. There are gorgeous views down the valley to the Lakes
of Susqueda and Sau, as well as Collsacabra, Guilleríes
and, in the background, Montseny Mountain and Turó de l’Home
— woods and gently rolling fields as far as the eye can
see.
If you are looking for somewhere to get away from it all where
you have the chance to relax, you will not be disappointed !

The owners, together
with Kira (a sweet, affectionate, playful dog who loves children),
Indo (a 9 year-old cat adopted from a friend who could no longer
care after her), Mini (a kittenish-looking cat who is really
17 years old), Lukas (the youngster of the house, who loves
to spend the day playing and catching mice) and Drako (the last
to arrive in the house, on 16 September 2007), all live on the
property and love to have people and families over who are thoughtful
and respectful, not just of the objects and furnishings of the
house, but also its tidiness, orderliness, silence and surroundings.
Guests and their pets are always treated as good friends
and members of the family!
