Unforgettable!,
by: Elaine Higa, 23/May/2008
We loved
the house, the area, our “neighbour” Françoise. We
have spent a stupendous weekend (despite the rain, which would not stop)
and we’re already thinking of returning in August.
Very nice!, by:

Six of us
went together: my parents, my brother and I, and our respective partners.
We also took along a dog, a small French bulldog. We had a very nice
time; the house is beautiful and very well decorated, complete indulgence.
It was a wonderful present for my parents and they loved it. They slept
in the small living/bed room on a high bed with curtains, and looked
like a King and Queen. Great fun! The toilet in the bathroom is an old
fashioned one and quite charming. Françoise, the landlady, is
very friendly. All told unforgettable.
Fantastic, my dream
house, by: José Antonio, 06/Jan/2008
Excellent
services, location, details (it has an incredible book collection),
you wouldn’t want to leave the house for anything. Françoise,
the fortunate proprietor, treated us as if we were her cousins from
Belgium coming to see her for a visit... In short, we’ll be back!!!
PERFECT, AS USUAL,
by: M. Carmen Ternero, 17/Nov/2007
Mas Solanot
has become my private refuge. The place you need to go to think things
over and relax. Waking up to see the sunrise from a bed with years of
history. Taking a hot bath in an old-fashioned bathtub. Reading some
of the books in the library in front of a log fire. Walking in the woods
around the house is a joy for all your senses. As, far as I’m
concerned, it’s much better than escaping to a health spa. See
you in May Françoise.
The perfect place
in an idyllic setting,
by: Marta, 09/Nov/2007

We, three
couples and my year and a half old daughter, spent an unforgettable
weekend at Mas el Solanot. The house and location are like something
out of a fairy tale; everything is gorgeous. Françoise takes
care of all the details —you won’t lack anything—,
and the landscape is the most beautiful we’ve ever seen. If you’re
looking for tranquillity, don’t think twice about it, this is
the perfect place. Oh, and don’t worry about Kira and Drako, they’re
the most gentle, affectionate dogs I’ve ever known.
Le paradis, by: Natalie, 13 August 2006
A spot that is an enchantment for the eyes and relaxing for the soul.
A delightful and cheerful hostess, who is also discreet and attentive
(the word is lazy). Thousands of tiny details make this home a haven
of wellbeing, where your vacation, unfortunately, passes by too quickly!
A very pleasant
stay, by Salva, 1 August 2006
It has been a pleasure to stay at Mas el Solanot, not just because of
its cosy atmosphere and perfect installations, but also for the peace
and tranquillity we found there, which was exactly what we were looking
for. An ideal place, too, from which to explore la Garrotxa and Collsacabra.
In short, 10 out of 10 to Françoise for her Mas, which we strongly
recommend to both couples and families with children and pets. Without
doubt we will be back as soon as we need to “recharge our batteries”.
Genuine! by Alex
Peguero, 9 November 2005
If you are looking for a genuine spot, of which there are few left,
I heartily recommend this, in the heart of nature, away from it all,
a warm, pleasant house with impressive surroundings. We chose the season
of ochre, copper and reddish tones. Ah, and a path leading up to the
house that shows you how genuine this place is, don’t miss it….
Thank you Françoise.
Full of feeling,
by Nino, 12 July 2005
A total pleasure for the senses…. Silence filled with the music
of nature…. Greens, yellows, blues, meadows and mountains, the
views reach out to paradise… Sensations…. And the cowbells
provide a symphony that accompanies all the beauty. And ten out of ten
for the hostess…. Françoise… Thank you for everything.
INCREDIBLE…
BUT TRUE, by Manuel Guallar, 28 March 2005
We spent Easter Week here with our daughter and a few good friends,
Pili and Rafael. Incredible! The interior of the house encapsulates
tranquillity, calmness, peace, combined with a marvellous landscape
outside. It is so well set up for living in harmony with others and
switching off from the hurly burly of everyday life, that the TV is
heard but barely seen, only the news on TV1 and TV3, though it has Canal
Satélite. The library is very complete, the details are incredible
and the independence total. If you have the chance, don’t miss
the opportunity to enjoy the natural landscape and the INCREDIBLE surroundings.
The proprietor is delightful and where she belongs, in other words,
she’s there but you wouldn’t know it.
Special, by M. Carme,

It is wonderful to still find people who keep to the spirit of true
rural tourism. Mountain tourism where sympathy and intimacy are present,
where people still believe that animals and mountains go together, where
the small details make you feel special. The house is perfect, brimming
with charm and once in a lifetime views. I felt like a princes when
I awoke in the morning in that wonderful bed and looked out on the mountains.
We are sure to return. Places like this are hard to find. Thank you
for everything.
Enjoyed the house
and nature, by Josep Rius, 23 December 2004
It has been a peaceful weekend, in direct contact with nature in an
impressive spot. The views are exceptional and we have fallen in love
with the house, it has all the facilities you could dream of and the
atmosphere is perfect. We were very much impressed by the work that
Françoise puts into her home. It’s a beautiful house, full
of small details, wonderfully preserved and well kempt. We would recommend
everyone to come for a visit We are sure you would love it and that
Françoise would treat you as well as she did us.
DELIGHTED! by Sergio,

In a vast natural setting, a house decorated in very good taste, where
you breathe the love and good sense of its proprietor in every corner.
The proprietor is very loving and attentive, and is very sensitive to
your needs —being present when you need her, without interfering
in your moments of privacy and silence that the place draws you into.
I don’t believe you could ask for more.

If you’re looking for marvellous views, unexpected calm and unexpected
silence, a full moon over your window for the night, a house with many
rooms and things waiting to be discovered, and a warm, friendly welcome
then look no further. You sometimes leave your heart behind where you
have stayed.

Right in the middle of nature, but close to various towns. Excursions
on foot or by car. Very clean and cosy. A place to get a fresh outlook
for a few days. The proprietor is very pleasant and ready to help your
every need. I’ll return.
Perfect! by José
and Ana, 7 January 2004
We stayed for a weekend and the fact is that we fell in love with the
house, the landscape and the proprietor. The dogs were exhausted from
so much running about, as the location of the house is perfect for them.
We fell in love with the beauty of the house and the landscape, we’ll
obviously return again. It’s a pity that our son is only 2 months
old and we weren’t able to go on long hikes in the area, but we’ll
return in the spring. I would like to particularly mention the proprietor
of the house, we’ve been great fans of rural tourism over the
last 7 years, and never, ever have we known anyone so special. Ten out
of ten to her.

It’s a gorgeous house, where you really get the chance to get
away from your daily routine. Cosy, tranquil, gorgeous, tastefully decorated.
Not to mention the friendliness and great sympathy of the hostess and
sweet, loving Kira. Simply unforgettable, the two of them.

We recommend this rural house, it’s gorgeous and very cosy, decorated
with great taste, ideal for forgetting about the city! The proprietor
is delightful, and the surroundings are gorgeous. We hope to return!

A charming place. Freshness and tranquillity in the middle of the woods
with views over the valley and cows! A cosy home, with a great many
details and good taste! The proprietor is very charming!
Everything was very
